Sitting Down with Scholars 28

Dr Michael Weatherburn

What does studying the history of science look like, and how can we see different layers in both historical innovation and modern education that give us a window into the values of each era? By understanding how scientific knowledge was constructed, transmitted, and challenged across time, we can go deeper than discovery narratives and look at the perception of expertise itself, understanding how it shapes who gets to be a scientist and what counts as legitimate knowledge.
